Frequently Asked Questions — Morse Code Translator
How does Morse code work?
Morse code represents each letter and number as a unique sequence of short signals (dots) and long signals (dashes). For example, the letter S is three dots (···) and the letter O is three dashes (---), making the famous SOS signal ···---···. Spaces between words are represented by longer pauses.
Can I listen to the Morse code audio?
Yes. Click the Play button and the tool generates audio tones for each dot and dash at your selected speed. You can adjust the words-per-minute setting to slow down for learning or speed up for practice.
What characters are supported in Morse code?
The tool supports all 26 English letters, digits 0 through 9, and common punctuation marks including period, comma, question mark, exclamation mark, apostrophe, and slash. Unsupported characters are skipped during conversion.
